December Fun

We have been busy over here, busy enjoying the holiday season and having fun!  Fortunately our cousins and neighbors have been healthy so we're soaking up as much play time as possible.

Blake & Lauren came over to play a couple of weekends ago, the kids had fun saying hello to their new cousin/sibling... the little babe was saying his or her hellos back too!

At another recent cousin play date at the Pittman's, Blake had to take a bath before they headed out so he hopped in the tub, Lauren loves the water so she jumped in too and well, Georgia wanted to get in on the fun, so in she went!  These are the things that I envisioned happening over the last two years but it's happening now and that's all that matters!
Rub-a-dub-dub, three cousins in a tub!

We are so fortunate to have wonderful neighbors, Georgia loves our neighbor Sadie and her mom, she asks to play with them almost daily.  Each time I pick Georgia up from playing she has done some great art project or has been gifted with something Sadie has decided Georgia should have of hers.  Last week was no exception, I came to find the girls in two lion costumes and Georgia was being sent home with pink, princess, sparkly shoes!  We are so, so grateful to have such amazing neighbors!
 Roar!
The lions drinking water.

Feeling  more bold these days, we went out to dinner at a friends sushi restaurant in Ballard.  Moshi Moshi didn't disappoint, the food and atmosphere were great and despite Georgia and I not eating raw fish right now (which Brian was thrilled to keep for himself) we all left full and happy!

Over the past two years we've avoided crowds which meant avoiding some of the holiday sights.  This year I was so excited to check out the Botanical Gardens in Bellevue, I'd seen pictures in the past and must say, it was pretty incredible.  We took advantage of a (mostly) dry night and went with Leslie, Blake and Lauren.

Tis the season to do a little baking and I have a little girl who is very happy to help, in fact I told Georgia that she is my "official helper" and she's taken the role seriously and has reminded me, and told Brian that she is "Mama's official cookie helper" on several occasions.
 Up in the action
 This is serious business!
Every official cookie helper needs to test her work!
