December 25th

Georgia and I had a pretty low key morning on December 25th, we made a big breakfast and lounged around until heading out to my sisters house for a little cousin time and dinner.  Leslie had a full house, her in-laws, as well as Chad's brother, Todd, his wife Lisa and their boys, Gage and Jake.  I knew Georgia would be so excited to play with Blake and Lauren, what I hadn't anticipated was witnessing her first crush.
For the record, we were invited to celebrate Christmas morning at the Pittmans, but we decided that might be a little confusing since we'd already celebrated our Christmas a couple of days earlier.
We had a great afternoon and evening!

 

This is Jake, he is Lauren and Blake's cousin and apparently Georgia's first crush.  We'd been at Leslie's house for about five minutes when I couldn't find Georgia, she had gone into the family room and crawled up next to nine year old Jake who was watching a movie.  Georgia has met Jake a couple of times but for some reason she couldn't get enough of him on this day.... he would get up to get a snack, she would follow... if the poor kid made a move she was with him, hugging his leg if he stood, not bashful at all about gazing at him and smiling.  Come to find out Blake really looks up to his cousin Jake, so there were a few time where people needed to move so Georgia could sit on one side of Jake and Blake could sit on the other.  Jake was such a good sport, if he only knew there were tears shed on the way home about leaving him.  This I fear, is the first in a long line of crushes - maybe it was a good thing daddy was flying!
