Grocery Store Girlfriend

Today Georgia and I were out running errands and made a much needed trip to Trader Joe's.. we were pleasantly surprised to see our friends Meredith and Charlotte there.. they made grocery shopping fun! Here are the girls comparing shopping notes..

Happy Anniversary!

Today was a big day.. Brian and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary and Bawdy had an ablation which is a form of heart surgery. Thankfully we are happy to report that Jim made it through surgery and is doing well!

Brian and I typically ask each other (usually last minute) if we're doing gifts for each other.. yesterday I said something to the effect of I hope you like your gift.. his response, "what? we're doing gifts?" I just smiled and thought surely he'll at least get me a card and flowers. After visiting his dad in the hospital he came home just in time to pop some champagne and get in the shower.. I had his gift and card on the table. He said, "well, here's your gift.. sorry it was last minute" .. it was a six pack of Redhook (my favorite beer) and flowers. I looked at the six pack, swallowed and thought I will tell him tomorrow how unhappy this makes me. A few minutes later he came in the kitchen and said "look what I found" it was a big gift bag.. inside I found a really sweet card and a beautiful bracelet... YES, he REMEMBERED!!! We had a really fun dinner at Zoe reliving the past three anniversaries and lots of memories. It was the first time in over a year that I wore a dress and heels.. I felt like a grown up.. a really tall grown up. Thanks to Nana for babysitting, we had a great time!

Seasons change

Today when I got Georgia dressed I finally decided to accept that summer is over. We have embraced fall with our turtleneck and jeans.. not surprisingly she looks super cute in her fall fashion!

Ten Months Old

Happy 10 months baby girl - I can't believe you've hit double digits! This has been a huge month for you.. you started pulling yourself up, crawling, gave up the swaddle, started clapping and saying mama, mama, and da, da all the time. Probably the biggest of all is that you have FIVE new teeth, yep that's right all five broke through this past month. With the fun times came some hard times too, sleep training has been challenging, teething didn't help but we've certainly made head way. We also are dealing with some skin issues that lead us to find out that you have some allergies and issues with your digestive track. We've changed our laundry soap and washed your entire room and most of ours, we have new diapers and have made some changes to your diet. In time we hope all of this will pass, we just need to get you back on track. Through it all you have been such a trooper, always laughing and wanting to take on the world. When things seemed overwhelming I just looked at your face and was smiling again.


A big thanks to all of our family for the support but especially Grammy Leslie who has been a tremendous help in getting your health back on track!

Today Georgia and I attended our first official 1st birthday party for our friend Nevaeh. Julie always has great creativity and never forgets a detail and today's circus themed party was no exception. Happy Birthday Nevaeh!

Rockaway Beach, OR

Brian and his family grew up going to Rockaway Beach every year.. it's a little beach town just south of Cannon Beach. Last week we met Nana & Bawdy down there for a great few days away! There was a lot of eating, playing, some surfing, puzzles, beach walks and of course it was a love fest for Georgia!

GO! Three days ago Georgia officially started crawling.. she hasn't hit lightening speed yet but she very proud of herself. She crawled a few "steps" pushed herself back to sitting position and clapped. Not surprisingly when it first happened I took all of her toys and lined them up at one end of the room just to make sure.. yep she's crawling!

Poor little Georgia is so deprived and doesn't have anything to play with.. HA! In the morning I usually set Georgia down in a clean picked up living room while I make coffee.. she proceeds to pull out toys one at a time.. it's funny how quickly the room looks like this...
