Happy 11 Months My Boy!

How can it be that in one month you will be a year old?  Despite long nights, the time is flying and you are growing so fast, here are some fun facts about you...

- You don't wear shoes, I suppose you'd likely pull them off but your feet are like little blocks and I can't find any shoes to fit your chubby little feet!

- You have a great sense of humor, you know how to get a laugh and grin from ear to ear, so pleased with yourself when you're being funny.

- You prefer chicken to beef, you're more of a white meat guy, your sister however is the opposite which keeps me busy at mealtime.

- You are a great eater, no doubt you need to be, you continue to grow at a rapid pace, solidly wearing 18 month size clothes.

- You are very good at mimicking the noises we make, this is also where your sense of humor comes in.

- You're sweet, always good for a snuggle between racing around with your sister.

- You think Georgia walks on water, the way you look at her is so cute, it's like she's the coolest thing that's ever happened.  You love to play "chase" with her and squeal with delight when she gets down to do crawling races down the hall.

- You are becoming more confident on your feet, cruising furniture, climbing anything that you can get your knee up to.  You should be in the Grand Prix of crawling, you're so fast!

- You have seven teeth, all of which have tortured you coming through.

- You say, Mama, Dada, and something that sounds a bit like Georgia, ja-ja.  You also shake your head no and you're latest trick is clapping.

- I think you will be a tantrum thrower, when you're tired or get a toy (or something you think is a toy) taken away from you, you arch your back and flail around..  I can't wait to see this in a couple of years in the middle of a grocery store.

- Sleep is an art form that you are still mastering, you have ups and downs but one things for sure, you're not consistent.  Teething really gives you trouble which has meant many restless nights.

- We love you more than words can say, one smile from you and no ones heart is spared.

Grand Cayman

Nearly a year ago my in-laws started talking about our whole family going on vacation together, many destinations were discussed but the final decision was The Cayman Islands.  I have a hard time thinking further than next week so this trip seemed like an eternity away.  After the whirlwind of birthdays and the holidays the trip was upon us and I was pulling out sunscreen and swimsuits!
Admittedly I was nervous for the red eye flight that was between my family and a sunny paradise but the kids did great and the payoff was huge!  Grand Cayman Island is gorgeous, warm and full of fun.  We were fortunate enough to stay at a great house equip with a pool and beautiful sandy beach right out the backdoor.
Everyone made it and we enjoyed ten great days, swimming, sunning and relaxing... amid the squeals of a four year old, two, two year olds and a 10 month old!  A big thanks to Bawdy and Nana for making this trip happen, it was fabulous!

A special treat as we left, Georgia was invited to check out the cockpit,
